New Year's Eve Is Just Around The Corner!

Even though today is Halloween (and a Happy Halloween to all of you naughty trick-or-treating New Yorkers), it isn't too early to begin thinking about New Year's Eve in New York City.

This year, if you are looking for the hottest tickets to the best parties in the city, you have to check out My NYC New Years, your source for VIP access and tickets to all of the best New York New Year's Eve Parties.  The reasons that we recommend this site are many, but first and foremost it provides a very long list of all of the best parties in the city, and provides easy access to purchasing tickets to the most exclusive events.

Even though it is the last day of October, it isn't too early to begin thinking about your New Year's Eve plans.  The last thing you want to be doing as the apple drops is sitting at home, watching it all on tv, and wishing you were out at one of the best parties in the world.

Do yourself a favor and get your tickets early so that you can ring in the New YEar in style!

Snowstorm Slows Down NYC!

A surprise snowstorm hit New York City this weekend, and although it left only a few inches of snow on the ground, the cold temperature and precipitation were enough to keep a lot of New York partygoers home on Saturday night, putting a cramp on lots of Halloween plans.

I mean, let's face it, when most people are out shopping for their Halloween costumes, the last thing they are thinking about is whether it is going to be warm enough in the snow, but this weekend this was an element they had to face.

One New York City party girl complained to us about her friends bailing this out on her as she was supposed to head to Crimson from the LES.  Apparently, the weather was enough to keep them in one place once they got there.  Another gentleman said that although he and his friends had bought tickets to a great venue, the weather and declared state of emergency in New Jersey kept them all inside on Saturday - a true waste of both money and a weekend, if you ask me.

Winter may be around the corner, but dancing and drinks will clear all of that right up.  Don't let a little snow stop you from a great nightlife experience NYC!

NYC Halloween - Featured Party: Slate

Since Halloween is right around the corner, we will be featuring some NYC Halloween parties.  Of course, we will start with our favorites, one of the first places we ever partied in New York City - Slate!

This year, the theme of Slate's New York Halloween Party is "A Tribute to Terror, Masquerade and Festive Fright."
This is going to be one of New York City's sexiest, hottest, and most scintillating Halloween parties, so of course we had to tell you about all about it.  This is actually Slate's fourth annual tribute to the night of terror and trickery, and each year the party has only gotten bigger and badder.  This huge mega event space (over 16,000 square feet) will be the home of all those seeking mayhem and mischief, as NYC's sexiest crowds come out to dance the night away.  Some of this year's party features include a one hour vodka open bar (from 9am to 10pm), an incredible DJ performance by the one and only Spin Diesel, a ton of Halloween Party Favors, Crazy costume contests, giveaways, and much more.  If you are looking for somewhere great to go and celebrate Halloween, then you cannot go wrong by donning your costume and heading over to Slate, located on 21st Street and 6th Avenue.  This year will also feature a free photographer courtesy of The Blaq List, so you will be able to look back fondly on your memories of trick-or-treating adult-style.

Stay tuned for more of our coverage of upcoming New York City Halloween parties, events, and crazy good times.

Halloween in New York City!

You cannot really talk about Halloween in NYC without mentioning how absolutely insane the city gets!  There are so many parties, so many crazy costumes, and so many people that you had better be prepared for a crazy and wild night.

For starters, let's talk about costumes.  If you have never celebrated Halloween in New York City, then you may well be in for a real shock.  The costumes are absolutely nuts, ranging from the most elaborate designs and complicated displays of Halloween ingenuity to the sheerest, sexiest things that you have ever imagined.  It is truly incredible to just walk the streets and people watch, because your eyes will pop out of your head at the crazy people walking around.  I recommend getting out early in costume, because it will definitely get you in the mood to party.

There are also some awesome Halloween parades, and if you like doing the people-watching that I mentioned above, then you will definitely enjoy these things.  They are so fun, and you will definitely get a kick out of the zany and wild costumes.

Honestly though, the real fun in New York City for the adult crowd are the crazy parties.  There are so many of them, and the prices range from $10 all the way up to $10,000, depending on what you want to do and where you want to go.  Most of them start with a great open bar around 9pm, and I have yet to see a party in the city that didn't go until 4am.  So, if you are planning on participating in the NYC Halloween madness, you had better get plenty of rest the night before.  Trick or treat, you are going to have a blast.

Crimson on Saturday, October 8, 2011 Pics

These pictures provided courtesy of The Black List and your favorite NYC birthday company.

As you can see, the crowd at Crimson, located on Broadway at 21st Street was out in full force in New York City on Saturday night.

 Upstairs VIP section!

The DJ at Crimson was absolutely phenomenal on Saturday.  It was the magnificent DJ Jay Dahbi, of 92.3 FM fame, and he did an incredible job spinning and mixing the music.  The crowd loved him.

 DJ Dahbi's wickedly sweet setup.

 Party! Party! Party!
